Euro Stalls Versus Dollar, Still Up On Week

The euro slipped against the dollar Friday, but still ended the week up about 0.6% amid signs that investors are turning more positive towards the common currency.

The Australian and New Zealand dollars also lost steam after a rally in currencies closely tied to global growth faded. Even though the common currency fell modestly, “it has had a pretty good move over the course of the week,” said Daniel Katzive, foreign exchange strategist at Credit Suisse in New York. Katzive added that the loss of momentum didn’t seem to be a full-fledged reversal in risk sentiment. Source
